How to make users specify reason when other employees are on holiday

There is nothing worse than everybody booking off leave at the same time. Thankfully, with LunaHR you can prevent this by applying for a rule to make this happen.  If a user applies for leave while other users are off during the same time period, the system will inform them and they will have to give reason as to why. It is then up to the approver to determine whether the reason is good enough to justify being short on employees.

You can enable this setting by following these instructions:

  1. Leave -> Settings -> Rules and policies
  2. Click on the ‘+’ button on the right and select the rule type ‘Specify reason when other employees are on holiday’
  3. Choose if you want this rule to be applicable to the entire company or a particular department

Now, the users would have to give a reason when applying for leave at the same time when other are on holidays already.
