What is ‘Leave Taken’ and ‘Leave Remaining’?
Exactly what the name says, leave taken is simply the amount of annual leave you have taken. This box / figure does not include any other leave entitlement defined by your company i.e. maternity leave for example.
Leave remaining is the amount of leave you have remaining from your original leave allowance. In other words, it is the calculation of leave entitlement – leave taken = leave remaining. It’s important to note, both figures will reset after the end of a leave year.
Please note the following:
- Remaining leave can be carried forward to the next leave year if your company has this policy. You will need to confirm this with HR
