Departments are the next level under company and contain employees. Departments can have their owns rules and you can create an unlimited amount of departments to make-up your company structure.

It is dead easy to create a department:

  1. Navigation to administration -> Departments
  2. Click create new department
  3. Fill in the required information

Please note the following:

  • Department names need to be unique
  • You can make it so department requires expense authorisation
  • Expense categories can be copied across
  • Work pattern can be changed
  • Any department options overwrite company options
  • You can edit / delete departments by selecting from the actions dropdown. However, departments with data cannot be deleted
